We’re going to try something new on Brink Street- Fabulous Find Friday! If (and when) I find something fantastic- I am going to share it here! Baby hats, toys, clothes, general household items- or just an amazing person- watch Fridays for something fantastic. I think it is going to be a ton of fun!
This week’s fabulous find is from etsy. If you haven’t discovered etsy yet- you MUST go to etsy.com as soon as you finish reading this. You won’t regret it. Some of the most talented people I have ever seen sell gorgeous hand made items there.
This may be more cuteness than I can handle. KuttinUp offers ruffled diaper covers to cutsey up any baby’s attire. Toss it over a onesie, or better yet- bring it to a photo session for your little girl! I just love these! A great alternative to a pettiskirt, especially for a little one who is too young to walk. Go check out her shop! It’s fabulous!

My good friend Stacey of Stacey Potter Photography had a triplet shoot last week, and I got to go help! After all, 3 babies = 12 limbs to keep organized, and they are all boys- so add 3 other parts to keep hidden! We had a great time- and the babies were wonderful. They all took a turn fussing, then they all slept, then they all melted down together. It was fun! Stacey took a couple of photos of me working- thanks Stacey!! And yes, my baby comes with me to shoots right now. Eventually I will teach her to use a bottle, but for now she is my little assistant.

I had the honor of photographing this beautiful family and newborn on Valentine’s day in Timnath (which is just outside of Fort Collins) this past weekend. They already had one stunning little girl, and now have added a beautiful baby boy to the family. He did NOT like my bean bag, and made sure that he didn’t have to stay there long! As different as it was to leave my bean bag behind- it was good! This family is beautiful and I was blessed to take more photos of “togetherness” that I usually do. Their DARLING little girl had me giggling through the whole session! I wish I had gotten video of her animal sounds and fantastic expressions- it was a hoot!!

As long as he was swaddled and in mommy’s arms, or listening to daddy play his guitar, he was happy. What a beautiful and lovely family to spend time with.

There is nothing more beautiful in all the world than the miracle of a newborn baby. One of the greatest privileges as a photographer is to have the opportunity to capture birth. To see the true strength of a woman, the love and support of her partner, the wonderment of siblings discovering that yes, indeed, mommy and daddy were telling the truth about having a baby, and the people who love all of them drawing near all recorded in still form is nothing short of amazing.
I had the extreme honor of capturing the home birth of a fellow photographer (Who is wonderful at her craft I might add)- miss Stacey. She was absolutely amazing, and I am still in awe of her strength. She got to capture miss Teagan coming into the world as well, and as she grows older and older, the images become more and more precious to me.
If you have never heard of birth photography, or are interested in having your birth captured, please contact me. It is a priceless thing to have.

I have the best two jobs in the world- being a mom to my fantastic children and capturing images of other people’s fantastic children. We had a blast on Saturday during the Valentine Mini Sessions, and I got the opportunity to play with and photograph some of the most adorable kiddos on earth! I am so excited to be able to send them custom made valentines for them to take to school and send to family.

I had so much fun that I am going to offer Easter mini sessions as well… with a twist. All the session fees will be donated to compassion international to benefit the people of Haiti. Food, clean water, shelter and so many other everyday basics have been robbed from them and I want to help.
