I have admired I heart faces for a long time now- but I always forget to enter before the deadline- so this week, I am making it an issue to enter! I even set an alarm on my calendar. This weeks theme is dramatic B&W. Here is my entry!

There are hundreds of reasons that I love my job- but this has to be my favorite reason. I get to watch children, people, families grow. Yesterday I got to go visit one of my most favorite families EVER- after several months- and I almost cried when I saw how much their babies have grown. Little miss S was my first “for real” newborn session. She was so petite and perfect. Soft, rosy cheeks, and a little angel for me. What could have been a scary experience was a wonderful one. She is the little princess who made me realize that I loved being a newborn photographer. Her family made me realize I love being a family photographer. They are all beautiful and kind and I feel like family every time I visit them. What a blessing they have been to me!
Isn’t she precious? At one she is all smiles and thinks I’m crazy. I love it!

I got one of the beautiful necklaces in today! It is way too sweet- and I am so excited about it! They may be making their way to Brink Street permanently. The Mother’s day Mini Session necklaces will have a beautiful snake or beaded chain and the option of a square or round pendant. I can’t wait!

Mother’s Day is approaching fast- have you thought about a gift to say “Thank You” yet? For me, there couldn’t be a better gift than jewelry and images of my children wrapped into one. This year you could give (or be given!) just that. On April 25th 2010 we will be holding mini family sessions- location to be officially announced. I am so very excited that spring is coming- and by the time that April 25th rolls around we will have some gorgeous flowers and green grass, the trees will be blossoming, and the air will be warm. Perfect for outdoor sessions with your beautiful family.
These sessions fill up fast, so contact me soon to book a spot. $75 is due upon booking, the remaining $75 is due the day of the session. Email me at kim@brinkstreetphotography.com to set your session today!

Long awaited was this precious angel. He has beautiful red hair and the most perfect skin ever. Like porcelain! Little Mr. W was a doll- he slept like a newborn even though he was 10 weeks old! We only got a few awake pictures before he drifted off to sleep. Isn’t he darling?

Can we say Yummy? Gorgeous gorgeous ring slings! I had the privilege of shooting the new line of Comfy Joey slings this weekend- and I’ve got to tell you- these slings are amazing! The colors are vibrant, and the slings are comfortable. My models didn’t want to take them off. I had a fantastic ring sling expert come and help style- thank you Karen!

I’ve been toying with the idea of portrait parties for a while now, so when the opportunity arose to give one a try, I snatched it up! My kids even came with me- since they were all within a few months of each other. Everyone had a blast- and I know now that VERY SOON there will be a portrait party option added to Brink Street.
Are these kiddos not making your cute-o-meter spin? They were all SO much fun! Little miss in the top photo was still a baby when we moved to Denver from Fort Collins- so it was so special to get to see her again. Thank you for having us over to play! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again soon- especially when it gets pretty and green out and we can venture outside for some color.
