I’ll just say… we laughed a lot at this session. We always have a great time with these guys- they have 5 kids, we want 4 or 5 kids, they homeschool, we homeschool, they like wine, we like wine…. Like I said, we have a great time together. Plus I just adore them. And they are one of the most gorgeous families ever.

^ That’s my favorite one^

Heeheehee… They are so much fun.

I love my baby plan babies. They grow too fast though. And I want to keep them all- especially when they think I’m their buddy! (And when they dress like a way cute monkey)

Helllllllooooo Gorgeous! Danielle- You’re stunning! I can’t wait to meet that little Bronco’s fan (And can I just say again you are amazing for waiting to be surprised if we need to get you a pink or blue jersey?)

I love me some beautiful soon to be parents.

Thank you guys for allowing me to be part of such a special time in your lives.

Again with the growing too fast! Best part about this session? He sat up all on his own for the very first time! And I got to capture it. Yep- best job ever.

You know how people say that babies don’t smile when they are brand new? I think they are crazy. While they may not look at their mommy and daddy and smile with intention, I think they certainly smile when they feel safe, comforted, and have dreams of those things. I mean- does that look like GAS to you? I think he’s thinking about his amazing mommy who loves him to bits and pieces. And that daddy who adores him and would do anything for him.

Congratulations Chloe and Ryan. He is a beautiful, wonderful blessing!

Man oh man have I neglected my poor blog. I have scads of sessions to share with you though- so we may as well get started! We have had a busy, wild, fun, and HOT summer. I’ve spent a lot more time outside with the kids lately than I have at the computer, so blog posts were neglected. Fall is on it’s way though- and I couldn’t be more excited. If I could eliminate allergies and just live in the Spring and Fall all the time I would be one happy Kimmie. Great colors, even better temperatures… ah, it sounds so nice! I am so excited for all the Fall sessions coming up. Be on the lookout for mini sessions being posted soon. We are just waiting on our newest goodies to arrive and then we will be announcing them!
Sometimes, babies are just little angels. I typically plan to have a session last 3+ hours, because we work on baby time- not grown up time. With space for breaks and nursing, it usually takes a while. I love every minute of it though. This little man? Less than an hour. He just slept so hard- even when we ventured outside.
I can’t wait to get to know him as he grows. He’s beautiful, precious, and happy.

I love my little baby planners!! Can you believe it’s been almost 5 months since this little sweet pea was born?? We had grand plans to go outside this time, but alas, the rain decided otherwise. So inside we played! I love that we got to use her little tutu again- it’s so cool to see how much she has grown. She’s such a character- so happy!
I can’t wait to see her again!

It’s been a whirlwind month here. We had a trip to Texas, tons of beautiful sessions and a wonderful wedding (lots of blog posts coming soon), we had Teagan’s injury, and we had a scary health scare with my grandmother that we care for. She is mostly better now, but adjusting to our new normal has slowed me down a bit. We had planned to start homeschool this week, but with everything we are holding off until August 1st. I cannot WAIT to share our adventures in homeschooling. We are so excited and nervous and and and. I’m seeing all the school supplies popping up at Target and I am getting giddy. I get to make our own school supply list. Please tell me I’m not the only one who gets as excited about school supplies as I do about Christmas gifts…. Anyone?
I am so thrilled that I got to spend the evening with these beautiful kiddos last month. They are so fun. Little 18-24 month olds are a blast to capture because there is lots of chasing and making goofy noises and shooting fast. They are anxious to explore the world around them. No posing or pressure, just fun. Sweet little girls are fun for a whole other reason. They pose, they smile, they want to help- I love it. It’s a great combo.

I know I have said it many times before, but it is an honor to be part of a family’s birth story. It’s a bonding experience, and one that very very few people in their life get to take part in. That said, my birth families have a extremely special place in my heart. Do you remember just after Thanksgiving when this little guy made his way into the world? They are one of the most wonderful families I have ever been blessed to know. They love each other desperately. Every moment they are teaching their kids. Heck, Daddy willingly took several mosquito bites just to show how they went about getting blood from the body.
They have grown so much- time just goes way too fast for my liking. I giggled the entire time I edited these- how fun is it that they all made funny faces? Even baby brother got in on the funny face action!

I love them all. And they are moving. I am so sad- but hopeful that we will be able to still see each other now and then.
