I love the pride a man has in his spouse as she carries their child. I love the way he looks at her, the way he touches her, speaks to her. It blesses me to be near it. Nick and Katie adore each other, and I had a fantastic time with them. I can’t wait to meet their little one- they are the second couple I’ve had this month who are waiting to find out if they are having a girl or boy. I think it’s so neat and I have moments where I think I could do the same, then I change my mind!
Thank you both. I’m looking forward to seeing you again!

I’ve been waiting 6 months to meet this beautiful family. SO worth the wait. I had such a wonderful time with all of you. The change of location couldn’t have been prettier- and I am so thankful we got to spend some time together!
I don’t think Eli could have been a better sport- or any more adorable for that matter.

My hubby’s birthday | Denver Family Photographer

Birthdays are a big deal at our house. We usually make several days out of it- why not? It only happens once a year, and what more is there to celebrate than the lives of people you love? Chris happens to be a lucky duck and his birthday almost always falls on Memorial day weekend. Which means extra celebrating! We had a great day as a family- and even did a little photoshoot with him and the kids (we are getting family pictures soon… I know, I am SO bad about being in pictures!) Then my AMAZING aunt came over in the evening and we got to go on a date.
I started editing these photos, and I just fell in love with these. These kids are nuts about their dad. I mean, who wouldn’t be- he’s wonderful. I even shot a roll in film. They are getting processed today and I cannot WAIT to see them. Did I mention we are adding film here at Brink Street? Digital is cool and all, but there is something so special about film that you just can’t achieve with digital (Plus I LOVE the sounds film cameras make…) Anyhow- watch out for some sneaks that include film scans. I’m so so so excited!
P.S. Mini sessions are coming in October!! We have amazing goodies that will be just for these sessions- don’t miss it!

I’m not going to lie. I love me some albums. And these little dudes are fantastic replicas of your gorgeous session album! They are made with leather (Lots of color choices BTW), and have the same stunning lay-flat pages as the full sized albums. Plus they come with beautiful dust covers. Perfect for keeping them safe in your purse. They now come as a set of two, which means they make great gifts to grandmas.

Again with the growing too fast! Best part about this session? He sat up all on his own for the very first time! And I got to capture it. Yep- best job ever.

My kids grow too fast. I see them every day, and yet they are reaching milestones all too quickly, and all I can see sometimes is that before I know it they won’t be little anymore. Embracing every moment is so important to me. You can imagine if I see my kids every day and they are growing too fast, how very quickly little ones who I only see once a year, or every few months, grow.
Jonas just turned 2. He was just a peanut when he was born, and it was amazing how much he had grown when he turned one. Now he’s TWO! He’s gorgeous and I absolutely loved spending some time with him again. He loved roaring at me like a dinosaur (One of my favorite games with little boys who are shy….) and discovering the world around him.
I’m so excited for the next time we see each other!

You know how people say that babies don’t smile when they are brand new? I think they are crazy. While they may not look at their mommy and daddy and smile with intention, I think they certainly smile when they feel safe, comforted, and have dreams of those things. I mean- does that look like GAS to you? I think he’s thinking about his amazing mommy who loves him to bits and pieces. And that daddy who adores him and would do anything for him.
Congratulations Chloe and Ryan. He is a beautiful, wonderful blessing!

Man oh man have I neglected my poor blog. I have scads of sessions to share with you though- so we may as well get started! We have had a busy, wild, fun, and HOT summer. I’ve spent a lot more time outside with the kids lately than I have at the computer, so blog posts were neglected. Fall is on it’s way though- and I couldn’t be more excited. If I could eliminate allergies and just live in the Spring and Fall all the time I would be one happy Kimmie. Great colors, even better temperatures… ah, it sounds so nice! I am so excited for all the Fall sessions coming up. Be on the lookout for mini sessions being posted soon. We are just waiting on our newest goodies to arrive and then we will be announcing them!
Sometimes, babies are just little angels. I typically plan to have a session last 3+ hours, because we work on baby time- not grown up time. With space for breaks and nursing, it usually takes a while. I love every minute of it though. This little man? Less than an hour. He just slept so hard- even when we ventured outside.
I can’t wait to get to know him as he grows. He’s beautiful, precious, and happy.
