If there is one thing that is true of 2020, it is that it certainly rocked the world. Being a small business owner meant that we had to spend some time refocused on our goals, our creativity, what we really wanted from our businesses. As a photographer, I got to let my camera focus in on my kids while we spent our time at home during the Spring and Early Summer months in Colorado. My kids definitely let their creative energy flow, and there was a lot of face paint, makeup, and costume design happening under our roof in March, April, and May.

We became the proud owners of a “Quarantine Puppy” (as so many people did), which was probably the best choice made in 2020 for us- he brought us so much joy and it was so neat to hear about other families doing the same when we had their photo sessions. I really think those furbabies brought a bright light to a very strange year.

I am so very thankful for the families that chose to trust me to capture a taste of normal as the year continued. I am using safety protocols and staying masked for all my photography sessions, including in homes for newborn lifestyle sessions, and when we are outdoors in the gorgeous Denver and Front Range area for the time being. My goal is and will always be the safety of the newborns, babies, kids, and families I photograph.

As we dip our toes cautiously into 2021, I am looking forward to continuing to photograph my children more, as well as meeting new families and getting to see those I have known for years. I wish you all health and much joy in the coming year, even if it comes to us in ways unexpected. Thank you again for the support and love.
