Pinterest recipe blogs make me crazy- they type on and on trying to fit their websites with key words, and it takes what feels like forever to get to what you really want to see- the recipe. So I’m going to do my very best to keep my writing short and sweet.

Lifestyle newborn photos have always had a special place in my heart, but especially as my kids are getting older. I wish I had just hired a photographer to come into my home and capture us as we were in that transitional space- each time we added a baby to our family. I was scared to though- I thought our home was too messy for that type of session- that the light wasn’t just right- let me count the ways I made reasons it couldn’t work… even though I do this for a job, and have NEVER felt like a house was too messy, I’ve never encountered a home too dark to shoot in, that there was any reason for us not to photograph a family just as they were. Lifestyle /. Documentary photography in your own home is such a gift, because it keeps you from having to leave your house with all the gear it takes to go anywhere with a newborn and young children, allows your other children to continue with their lives after their part in photos, and gives you the immediate chance to rest once we are done. I love these types of shoots.
